One of the side effects of the modeling is the indirect assessment of data quality in various subject areas. Our exploration of relevant numerical data reveals that even relatively well-studied fields lack enough suitable qualitative and quantitative data required for model construction, fitting and validation. Therefore, modeling process is useful not only as a tool to build applied computational models but also as an indirect way to assess the quality of available data.

Data quality assessment

One of the side effects of the modeling is the indirect assessment of data quality in various subject areas. Our exploration of relevant numerical data reveals that even relatively well-studied fields lack enough suitable qualitative and quantitative data required for model construction, fitting and validation. Therefore, modeling process is useful not only as a tool to build applied computational models but also as an indirect way to assess the quality of available data.
